Profile Information

about me
34 year old living in central mississippi. Former military and current truck driver. I am searching for a career not just another job. I have had a lot of dead end jobs and returned to school late in life to try and better myself. I am looking for something different and exiting. A place you can envision yourself retiring at.
what is your current, past or ideal job title?
past jobs:

Cryptologist in the Navy.
Sales on commision.
truck driver.
Medical transporter.
questions or doubts about job search process?
I have worked hard in the Military and civilian world and paid my house and car off. I went back to school two years ago and got my Associates degree this month. I am a little scared starting over from scratch at my age. I am tired of these dead end mind numbing jobs and want something fun and rewarding a place to retire.
hardest or worst job you ever worked?
I worked as a temp at a plastics factory when I got out of the navy. We made clipboards. The job wasn't hard just mind numbing. One after another clipboards came out of the machine and I was responsible for rapping them and puting them in the box. One after another for 8 hours strait with a 15 minuit break. The job was a temp job and I finished my duty but I would never go there again.
your worst boss - what were his/her tricks?
I have worked for a lot of hard asses but my worst boss was actually a really nice guy. My last job at the hospital was a total nitemare. My co workerers would show up late or not at all and he would do nothing. It was like he was always looking for someone else to take charge. One guy there called in at least twice a week for a car problem or one time a sunburn. My other co-worker would disapear for 3 or four hours at a time and no one cared. I was left to wrestle 300lb patients onto stretchers and wheelchairs for therapy by myself. The job paid crap and I had to clean a up a lot of it when the nurses were on their constant break. You couldn't get anyone in that place to do anything but gossip. I finally clocked out and left and hope that myself o my loved ones never have to get sent to this death hospital. Nice guys are alright to have a beer with but don't always make good bosses.
best career advice you ever recieved?
Follow your heart and do whats right and god will take you the rest of the way.

My mom
worst career advice you received?
Follow the money.

A friend
what are you looking for in your next job?
Stimulation and a good work environment. Teamwork and coorperation. A job where everyday is different and not the same old same old. I am open minded and not afraid to take on responsibility. You should look forward to ariving at work and not feel and impending dread upon entering the parking lot.
